7 months... and it is mission: GROW

I turned 7 months old today and am working on growing, growing, growing. Everybody knows I am a little boy, and the pediatrician has not been concerned until now. Mommy took me to the doctor on Monday to find out what kind of rash I had on my back and to talk to the doctor about me not eating well. The rash turned out to be eczema. When they weighed me, I was only 14 pounds, 12 ounces which is only 5 ounces more than I was at 6 months. The doctor told mommy to make sure I was eating baby food with cereal at least twice a day and to pull out all the stops to get me to eat. Mommy also is going to offer me a bottle instead of nursing every other feed. The doctor ask mommy if cystic fibrosis runs in the family (because I am small and always seem to be congested). It does not run in the family, and the doctor said she doesn't think I have it at this point but it is something to be mindful of. This, of course, has freaked mommy out!!! So she is going to call the doctor on Friday (when my doc is back in the office) and ask if they can go ahead and just test me so it is nothing she has to even think about. Anyway, since Monday, I have been eating decent. Mommy bought me some rice rusk to help me get interested in eating, and I LOVED it. I feel like such a big boy when I can feed myself... maybe that is the trick. Here is a video.

I am hitting all the milestones. I am scooting without difficulty, still a little shaky sitting (but I can do it for many minutes), I focus very well and can pass things back and forth between my hands. I love to hear my voice and I really like to "wookie". I am still the most social baby you will ever meet. I love everyone and anyone can make me smile. My third tooth just came through today, it is my top left one. I am going to have a head full of teeth very soon!
