My 1st tooth coming through. My 2nd will not be far behind. All before I am 5 months old. Mommy can hardly believe it; I am growing up too fast!

Shopping Weekend

This weekend, nonny and aunt Dena came in to watch me. I got to go shopping all day and I ended up with some cute shoes and a few cute outfits. They taught me how to look for the best sales. By the end of the day, I was worn out!

Fiesta San Antonio

Today, mommy and daddy took me to fiesta in downtown San Antonio. This is a yearly 11day event that is a big deal in San Antonio. I listened to music, shopped, and people watched. I had a good time. i wanted to stay for the parade, but daddy had to get home and study so maybe next year.

8 hours....

So last night, mommy put me to bed around 7:30 because I was really tired. She went to bed at 11, thinking I would wake her up in 30 minutes or an hour. Mommy woke up at 1 and was shocked that I hadn't cried out, then mommy woke up at 2 and was getting a little concerned because that meant I had gone 6 1/2 hours with no food (the longest ever). She was most concerned because I have still been sick (runny nose, cough, sneeze) and because mommy thinks that I am teething. So when 3 came around, mommy got out of bed to come make sure I as ok. I was sleeping like an angel. Mommy went back to bed and watched me on the monitor for 30 minutes, and decided she would get me up to nurse because the doctor had told her to keep me well hydrated while I am sick. So who knows ho long that I really would have gone if mommy hadn't disturbed me.
Today, I took 2 naps like usual, but I did not want to go to sleep tonight until 9:45(that is late for me). I told mommy I wanted to watch the mavs whip up on the spurs!!! Anyway, we will see what I do tonight. I like to keep mommy on her toes.

Easter at Gram E's

This past week, I flew to Fort Worth to visit. This was my 2nd time to fly. I had a good time. We did Easter egg hunt at Gram E's house (they waited till I came in town so I could hunt too). I liked the Easter eggs, especially the ones that were lollipops because I could hold on to them. I have really started grabbing at things this week.

I really enjoyed hanging out with my cousins. I got to see Zoe again. She was born 10 days before me and I have finally caught up with her. Ava could make me laugh, she is a funny girl! Bradie was very excited to see me, he tried to attack me!


I also played in the swing for the first time. It was still big for me, but I had fun. Uncle Tim made mommy a little nervous because he pushed me high.


I can't wait to go back again!

Labs, Xrays... My day at the doctor

I had my 4 month check up a little over a week ago and when I was there I had just started sucking my chest in when I breathed. The doctor listened to my chest and said if I wasn't coughing and I was feeling ok, it was probably nothing. Well, I have continued to do that for over a week and I am also congested. Mommy, daddy, nonny, and gram E were concerned about my chest so yesterday, I went to see my Pedi, Dr. Mcnair again. My lungs sounded clear, and Dr. McNair did not really think I was sick, but to put mommy's mind at ease and just to make sure, they checked the pressure in my ears (which was fine), they took blood for a blood count (which showed that I probably have a virus, but they had to stick me twice to get it), they put a pulse oximeter on me to check my oxygen (which was 95%- acceptable), and finally I had a chest Xray (perfectly fine). The doctor said my virus should heal up and my chest sinking in is called a "pectus". She said the cartilage had not gotten firm enough yet and I could do this into toddler hood, but it should strengthen and look normal as I get older. Also, mommy has officially moved her bed out of my room. :( I am on my own!

Easter with Nonny

Since mommy had to work on Easter, Nonny took me to church. I loved the singing and slept through the service. After church, daddy took some pictures of me and nonny in the front yard. I am going to do my Easter egg hunt on Thursday with my cousins, Ava and Bradie.

4 months old and on my own...

It has been a while since I have gotten to blog, so I have many updates. I had my 4 month check up and I weighed 13 pounds, 3 ounces and was 24 inches long. I am hanging in the 35-40%. I got 4 shots and I handled it pretty well. The doctor told mommy she could start trying me on rice cereal once a day. Mommy tried and I gagged. We will try again next week. I have continued to sleep in my own bed. For the first time last night, I spent 1/2 the night in my room by myself! Mommy came and stayed in my room because I got scared and would not go back to sleep. I am talking up a storm and smiling all the time. I am such a happy boy!
