Splish, Splash, I was takin' a bath

So I have always enjoyed bath time, but here lately mommy has been getting a bath along with me! She tried to catch me on video, but of course, I stopped as soon as a realized I was being videotaped, but she did catch a glimpse....

Trip to Fort Worth, Ava's Birthday....

It has been a while since I have gotten a chance to blog. I had an exciting week in Fort Worth. My cousin Ava had her 2nd birthday. I had such a great time. Here are some pics from the party.


I had such a good time hanging out woth my cousins. They gave me the nickname "shiver me timbers" because I quiver my lip when I get the least bit chilled.




I also got to go meet mommy's old co-workers. I wasn't too sure about that. Those are some crazy ladies.




All in all, I had a great time. I can't wait to go back next month.

Member of the Rolly poly club

Mommy wasn't sure if I was really rolling over, but the 5th time she recorded it and I think she finally believed it. I am growing up so fast!

SHOTS!

So I went to my 2 month check up today. I am starting to catch up. When I was born I was in the less than 10%; today I weighed 10 pounds 12 ounces which puts me in the 40%. Mommy's milk is fattening me up! I was such a good boy while the doctor assessed me. I was smiling away. Then the nurse came in and before I knew what was happening I was stuck twice in the right thigh and three times in the left thigh. It hurt so bad. I cried and it broke mommy's heart, but she whisked me up and I immediatley quit crying and fell asleep. I have been pretty cranky this afternoon and mommy has been giving me Tylenol every 4 hours. Hopefully I will feel better tomorrow.

Mommy is officially crazy

So I think I might have one of the craziest mommies in the world. I did well at the beginning of last week by sleeping in my pack n play at night, but this week I won't have it. The funny thing is that my mommy can put me in her bed, perpendicular to her body (not even touching) and I am content. But try to put me in my pack n play, then it is all over. Mommy thought maybe I didn't like the mattress, so her remedy.... move the guest bed into my nursery and try to put me down in my crib. Then once I sleep in my crib, move the guest bed out and I am on my own. The reason she did this is because you have to unscrew my crib to get it out the door, so it made more sense to move her bed in. Second, I still get up every 2-3 hours and like I said I won't settle down if you put me in my own bed. The first night we tried this, I was horrible. I had a belly ache. I didn't let mommy put me in my bed until 7 AM. Last night went a little better. Mommy fed me, put me down in my crib, I went crazy, she gave me my pacifier and patted me for almost an hour and I finally gave in and went to sleep. I woke up 2 hours later, ate, mommy tried for 30 minutes to get me content in my bed, but she was too tired and I won round 2. I slept in mommy's bed for 3 hours, then ate, mom tried for an hour to get me to stay in my crib, and right as I was giving in, the dogs busted in the door and woke me up, so mom gave in again. Mommy wants to know if anyone has suggestions for helping me sleep in my own bed. Her tactics don't seem to be working.

12 hour shifts

So mommy had her first 12 hour shifts since September. She started off with a bang by working three 12 hour shifts in a row. She made it though and from here on out, she will only have to do 2 in a row (which makes me and mommy very happy). Last night when she came home, I thought she was going to give me a bath. Gram E went upstairs and me and mommy fell asleep in the recliner, so no nightly bath. Even though I love my bath, I forgave mommy because she was so tired. I had fun with Gram E this weekend. I am really talking, smiling, and sometimes I will laugh. Gram E brought me to have lunch with mommy on Saturday, which we both really needed because we missed each other. I still don't have much of a schedule. I slept most of the day on Saturday, then yesterday I was awake from 7:30 AM till around 3 PM. The last few nights I have been going 2-3 hours between feeds and am having a hard time sleeping in my own bed. I turned 2 months old yesterday. It is hard to believe I have been in the world that long. I am starting to outgrow my newborn clothes, so mommy is moving me up to the 0-3 month clothes. Well, that is what went on this weekend. Nighty, night.
